Dr. Lorenzo Soberanes Maya has been appointed the new President of the Professional Boxing Commission in Ciudad Juárez.
On behalf of the Mayor, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, the director of the Municipal Institute of Sports and Physical Culture of Juárez (IMDEJ), Juan Escalante, presented the appointment that accredits the new boxing commissioner of this important city.
Commissioner Lorenzo Soberanes thanked the opportunity to be the rector of boxing in Ciudad Juárez again, as he was in previous administrations.
“First I want to thank the Mayor, Cruz Pérez Cuellar, for the trust he places in me and the director of the Municipal Sports Institute, Juan Escalante, the first thing is to integrate a great team to reach the main objective of developing young talent,” said Soberanes.
Present at the presentation of the appointment were Saraí de los Santos, Coordinator of Sports Development; Iván de León, promoter of Latin Box; Boxers Diana “Bonita” Fernandez and Miguel “Micky” Roman; Luis Fernando Rodriguez Giner and Antonio Ruiz Najera, certified ring officials by the WBC; Victor Manuel Sanchez; Raul Ortiz Polo and Ricardo Acosta.
