Towards the first national boxing class, which will take place on Sunday, April 6, stirring details were given in our Coffee Tuesday.
The organizers of the event are the President of Mexico, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Miguel Torruco, National Director of Promotion of Sports and Well-being of the Government of Mexico in collaboration with Mauricio Sulaiman, President of the WBC.
The first massive national class will take place on the International Day of Sport for Peace, so all attendees are asked to wear white.
In June 2022, the first national class was held with an attendance of 14,299 people gathered in the Zócalo of Mexico City.
This will be the largest boxing class in history, so rehearsals have already begun. On this occasion, not only the capital’s main square will be the venue, but public squares around the country will also be the venues where the class will be held.
So far, 28 of the country’s 32 states are taking part in the class. Mtro. Miguel Torruco has been in charge of taking the peace belt to the different states of the republic during his visits to the governors of the different states.
More than 20 champions will be in charge of teaching the classes. Isaac “El Tortas” Bustos, the only champion born in Ixtapaluca, has confirmed his participation.
