Nicolson Vs Brown- Only ONE can wear The Tiarra!

No smoke without fire, as WBC women’s featherweight champion Skye Nicolson homes in on a homecoming fight on March 22 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, against American Tiara Brown.

The champion has openly expressed her desire to clean up the division this year, and if she emerges from this fight with her arm raised, she is expected to face other champions soon.
The two boxers exchanged words in a virtual one-on-one prior to their highly anticipated fight. Nicolson is confident she will win for the 13th consecutive time in her professional career.

“I’m very excited to fight in Australia. The plan is to defend this title and continue collecting more belts. I’ve never been in a position where I’ve had a tough fight, so I hope this is the first time and I can put on a great performance in front of my fans at home,” said the undefeated star (12-0, 1 KO).

“I posted that I wanted ‘all the smoke’ in the featherweight division, and I think Tiara took it personally. She responded with, ‘I am the smoke and everyone can take it,’ and it all went from there. I’ve never shied away from facing Tiara. I’m very excited for this fight and think it’s going to be a great matchup. Our styles will complement each other well, and I can’t wait.”

Brown, undefeated with an 18-0 record and 11 knockouts, warmly responded: “It means the world to me to fight for the WBC belt. And that’s how it all came about. A lot of people were showing me what was being said, and I thought, ‘Okay, let me respond to this.’

“For a long time, I just sat back and listened because I didn’t really care what people had to say. But a lot of people thought I should be more vocal and more aware of what’s being said on social media, so I decided to put my name in the conversation.

“I feel like Skye has been given the easy path to the world title. It’s been handed to her on a silver platter. I think she knows this too because I saw a comment saying she likes things that way. It’s not personal… it’s business. We need more people to promote women’s boxing and more people to see this great fight.

“I respect Skye and everything she’s accomplished in this sport.”
